Insurance companies basically have an agenda to minimize their expenses so they make a profit for their share holders. We have a lot of patients here who started off wanting a dentist who is an 'in network' dentist…these patients prefer to see an 'out of network' dentist now because they realized it is not in their best interest to have the insurance company determine their treatment. We even had patients who still decided to see an 'in network' dentist, then after experiencing the insurance realities decided to come see us.
